Job summary

dtcpay is a MAS licensed payments provider enabling fiat and digital asset payments globally. We seek a Treasury Operations professional in Kuala Lumpur on-site to verify payments, monitor settlements, manage liquidity, and oversee FX and controls.

The role includes a remote standby rotation and requires 3–5 years in fintech/payments with strong exposure to treasury operations. You will work closely with Finance, Operations, Compliance, Risk, Product and Development teams to optimize fund flows

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant fintech/payments/treasury experience.
• Experience with fiat and digital asset fund flows.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to validate transactions.
• Mandarin proficiency preferred for stakeholder communication.
• Experience with bank, wallet, and settlement counterparties.

Responsibilities

• Transaction checks and approvals: verify details, documents, balances, and approvals before decisions.
• Settlement and monitoring: track fiat and crypto settlements and resolve pending or failed items.
• Liquidity and balance monitoring: review bank, wallet, and exchange balances and flag needs.
• FX and treasury execution: support or execute FX, compare rates, ensure timely settlements.
• Reconciliation and control review: review outstanding items and ensure documentation completeness.
• Process and team support: assist SOP improvements, automation, and testing.
• Cross-functional coordination: work with Finance, Operations, Risk, and Tech to enable smooth fund flows.

Shift & Availability:

This role includes a remote standby rotation (approximately one week per month) to monitor urgent payment matters outside of office hours, including weekday evenings and weekends — manageable via phone from home.

What You’ll Do:

• Transaction Checking & Approval - Independently verify payment/transfer details, supporting documents, balances, limits and approvals before approving or rejecting transactions.
• Settlement & Transaction Monitoring - Monitor fiat and crypto transactions through completion and follow up on pending, failed or rejected settlements.
• Liquidity & Balance Monitoring - Review bank, wallet and exchange balances and highlight funding requirements or unusual movements.
• FX & Treasury Execution - Support and/or execute FX conversions within delegated authority, obtain and compare rates, monitor market movements, validate trade details and ensure timely settlement of FX transactions.
• Reconciliation & Control Review - Review outstanding reconciliation items, transaction discrepancies and documentation completeness.
• Process & Team Support - Support SOP improvements, automation, system testing and operational enhancements.
• Cross-functional Coordination - Work closely with Finance, Operations, Business Developments and Development/Technology teams to facilitate smooth and timely fund flows, resolve operational issues and support Treasury-related system improvements.

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience, with strong exposure to fintech, payments, digital assets, crypto, banking, or treasury operations.
• Mandarin proficiency, spoken and written, is preferred for stakeholder and counterparty communication.
• Prior experience in a fintech, payment institution, digital asset, crypto exchange, payment gateway, remittance, or other fast-paced financial services environment is strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience managing or reviewing fiat and digital asset fund flows, including bank transfers, payment platforms, wallets, exchanges, custodians, or OTC counterparties.
• Good understanding of cash flow management, liquidity, FX execution, payment settlement, treasury controls, and cross-border fund movements.
• Experience working with multiple banks, payment providers, wallets, exchanges, or settlement counterparties across different currencies and jurisdictions is preferred.
• Familiarity with FX pricing, rate comparison, trade execution, settlement, and currency exposure management.
• Strong understanding of operational risks in fintech, including transaction failures, settlement delays, beneficiary changes, wallet/network risks, liquidity constraints, and reconciliation breaks.
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Compliance, Risk, Product, and Development/Technology teams.
• Familiarity with data and automation tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, APIs, AI tools, or workflow automation solutions is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, independent judgement, and ability to review, challenge, and validate transactionsrather than simply process them.
• Mandarin proficiency, spoken and written, is preferred for stakeholder and counterparty communication.
