Job summary

Flex seeks a Design, Process and Technology Engineer in Prai, Penang, to bridge innovation engineering and high-volume production. You will turn concepts into manufacturable solutions, support technology transfers, and help expand Flex’s in-house capabilities for AI data centers.

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, at least 4 years in process or manufacturing engineering, and hands-on work with PCBA, SMT, Wave Soldering, and Assembly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in process or manufacturing engineering.
• Hands-on knowledge of PCBA, SMT, Wave Soldering, and Assembly processes.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience coordinating multi stakeholders for R&D transfer to Penang site.

Responsibilities

• Bridge innovation engineering and high-volume production to turn concepts into manufacturable solutions.
• Evaluate product designs and provide data-driven recommendations to boost process efficiency and quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design cost-effective, scalable manufacturing processes.
• Partner with design engineers to develop prototype and low-volume build processes and enable smooth tech transfer.
• Lead quick-reaction engineering to troubleshoot during product builds.
• Apply SPC and analytical tools to monitor performance and yield and drive continuous improvement.
• Support PFMEA and DFMEA to ensure design and process reliability from concept to completion.
