Qualifications

• Formal qualification in toolmaking or mechanical engineering.
• 2–3 years hands-on experience in toolmaking or precision machining.
• Advanced proficiency operating machines and precision equipment.
• Strong reading of technical drawings and precision measurement tools.
• Experience working with micron-level tolerances.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong math skills for calculations and tool design.
• Commitment to health and safety standards.
• Preferred: experience in electronics or connector manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Analyze problem and repair tooling for corrective action.
• Improve tooling and propose corrective and preventive action.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Set up dies and troubleshoot presses.
• Assemble and modify tooling.
• Operate surface grinding machine for fabrication.
• Complete die reports for traceability and improvements.
• Run test parts to ensure specifications; adjust as needed.
• File, grind, shim, and fit parts to join components.
• Fit and assemble dies, jigs, gauges, and tools with machine and hand tools.
• Inspect finished dies for defects and surface quality.
• Position and secure machined parts on plates or tables.
• Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
• Polish surfaces to meet finish requirements.
• Verify dimensions with calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
