Job summary

Flex is seeking a Senior Tooling Engineer to join our Batu Kawan, Penang site. You will lead tooling design, setup, maintenance, and qualification activities for medical molding tooling, working with IPQA and production teams to ensure high tool performance.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma in Tool & Die Making/Tool & Die Engineering with 6–10 years in tooling, preferably in medical molding. We offer comprehensive benefits and a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Tool & Die Making/ Tool & Die Engineering required.
• 6–10 years of related experience in tooling.
• Preferably experience in medical molding/tooling industry.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and modify tooling for metal stamping, jigs & fixtures.
• Tool testing, tuning, setup and inspection per SOP.
• Prepare First Article Inspection (FAI) submissions and coordinate with IPQA.
• Maintain and repair tools; perform preventive maintenance and document updates.
• Coordinate PFMEA and support Kaizen/lean activities.
• Train tooling makers, repairers and technicians; provide technical support to production.
