Job summary

HP is seeking a Staff Manufacturing Engineer to lead the Thermal Inkjet Final Assembly operations in Malaysia, driving process capability, quality improvement, and cost reduction on high-volume lines. You will collaborate with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain and Product Development, mentor junior engineers, and implement standard work and delivery improvements to sustain performance.

This is a full-time role with relocation travel support as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or above in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial or Electrical Engineering or related field.
8-10 years of experience in manufacturing industry.
Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments preferred.
Experience with assembly processes, automation, quality systems and continuous improvement is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Drive safety, quality, delivery and cost performance on high-volume lines; lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Lead yield improvements using data-driven methods and monitor process capability and equipment utilization.
Identify and execute cost reduction opportunities through waste elimination and process optimization; track benefits.
Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Manufacturing Partners; mentor junior engineers.
