Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corp. is seeking a Tester Maintenance Manager to act as the technical owner of the tester fleet on a 24/7 cleanroom floor.

You will balance line-down response with a long-term reliability plan and coordinate with Manufacturing, Test Engineering, Planning, Facilities and tester OEMs. You will lead PM/calibration programs, drive root-cause analyses, manage a PM team across shifts, and optimize spare-parts and service contracts while ensuring safety and ESD controls on the

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronic, Mechatronics, or related engineering.
• 8+ years in semiconductor test equipment maintenance or equipment engineering.
• 3+ years managing technicians and engineers in a shift-based operation.
• Hands-on knowledge of semiconductor ATE testers (Advantest/V93000, Teradyne) and interface hardware.

Responsibilities

• Own tester availability, utilization, MTBF and MTTR targets across the ATE fleet and interface hardware.
• Define and run preventive maintenance and calibration plans to minimize downtime.
• Lead daily shift handover and downtime reviews; resolve line-down issues with Production.
• Lead root-cause analysis (8D, FMEA) for recurring tester failures and document fixes.
• Develop PM technicians, sustainers, and equipment engineers across shifts; plan training and headcount.
• Plan installation, qualification, and correlation of new testers with OEMs; train the team.
• Own spare parts strategy, stock levels and lead-time; manage repair vendors and service contracts.
• Own tester maintenance budget; provide input to capex/opex; decide repair vs. replace.
• Enforce EHS rules and ESD controls; keep calibration traceable and audits ready.
• Track and report uptime, MTTR, PM/calibration completion, spare parts, costs, training, safety.
• Run continuous-improvement projects to raise uptime and reduce cost per tester.
