Comet Technologies Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks an experienced technician to support testing and calibration of plasma-control equipment used in semiconductor manufacturing. You will perform product testing, troubleshoot failures, and read schematics to support setup and maintenance.

The role requires a Technician Diploma with 5+ years in electronics or semiconductor equipment, strong knowledge of RF components, oscilloscopes, multimeters, LabVIEW, and C++.

Qualifications

• Technician Diploma with at least 5 years in semiconductor equipment manufacturing or related electronics environment.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor equipment, RF matching networks, RF generators, and test instruments.
• Proficiency in LabVIEW and C++, plus Excel automation/macros; SAP and MES are a plus.
• Analytical, troubleshooting and root-cause investigation skills; able to read schematics.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and overtime in a fast-paced plant.

Responsibilities

• Perform product testing activities, ensuring products meet standards.
• Troubleshoot test failures, perform debugging and minor repairs.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain test equipment per 5S standards.
• Read schematics and documentation to support testing and setup.
• Support Lean and continuous improvement with cross-functional teams.
