Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corporation in Malaysia is seeking an experienced engineer to drive yield enhancement, reduce test costs and ensure the quality and manufacturability of our devices across the product life cycle. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams from design to manufacturing.

You will review low-yield lots, perform root-cause analysis, work with test engineering, assembly, quality, and OSAT, and lead sustaining activities to improve margins and system integration.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in High Volume Semiconductor Manufacturing environment, preferably in Test Product Engineering, Test Engineering or Product Engineering.
• Strong understanding of product knowledge & test methodology of analog/digital/power product, failure analysis, reliability test, RCA.
• Proficiency in statistical data analysis tools (JMP, Spotfire, etc.).
• Strong communication skills to interact with people at all levels
• Strong project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and provide disposition on low-yield production lots, and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Work closely with test engineering, assembly, quality, internal factory and OSAT to resolve issues efficiently and ensure smooth production flow.
• Execute day to day sustaining activities (EQA hold rate reduction, SYL/SBL sustaining, etc.) to ensure delivery fulfillment.
• Qualification and validation of new products, tester platform migration and various engineering activities.
• Gross Margin Improvement Initiatives (Yield improvement, etc.).
• System integration.
