Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Malaysia's Penang facility seeks a diploma-holding technician to perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting on manufacturing equipment.

You will dismantle, repair, and reassemble equipment, operate test tools, support ramp-up, and maintain uptime through preventive maintenance. Strong interpersonal skills and familiarity with manufacturing systems are a plus; AI tools experience is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering required.
• 1+ year of relevant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of semiconductor testing equipment preferred.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiarity with manufacturing systems, data analysis or AI applications a plus.
• Experience with AI-enabled tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electro-mechanical equipment used in manufacturing.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair, and reassemble equipment per plans.
• Use test and diagnostic tools to perform checkouts.
• Rebuild equipment and implement modifications as directed.
• Manage test equipment transfer, setup and buyoff for ramp-up.
• Maintain equipment uptime with hands-on troubleshooting.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance.
• Setup, buyoff, and conversion of equipment.
• Manage spare parts, tools and meters.

Responsibilities:

Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process

Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings

• Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.
• Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required
• May perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers.
• Responsible for Test equipment transfer, setup and buyoff, and support for manufacturing ramp up
• Responsible for sustain equipment uptime with hand ontrouble shooting on the equipment
• Perform and complete the scheduled PM as per plan
• Perform equipment setup, buyoff, and conversion
• Work on spare part/tools/meters management

Requirements:

• Diploma in mechanical engineering & Electronic/Electrical Engineering
• Highly motivated individuals with more than1 year working experience are encouraged to apply!
• Good understanding of Semiconductor Testing equipment processes. In-depth knowledge & hands on experience will be a plus point.
• A good teammate equipped with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiarity with manufacturing systems, data analysis, programming, or Artificial Intelligenceapplications is a plus.
• Experience using Generative AI, AI Assistant, or other AI-Enabledtools is preferred.
