Job summary

Micron Technology in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a maintenance technician to troubleshoot electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process.

You will dismantle, repair and assemble equipment per blueprints and manuals, perform test checkouts, and support ramp-up with uptime and preventive maintenance.

A Diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering is required, with 1+ year experience; familiarity with AI tools and data analysis is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma in mechanical engineering and electronic/electrical engineering.
• More than 1 year of working experience encouraged to apply.
• Good understanding of semiconductor testing equipment processes; hands-on experience is a plus.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Familiarity with manufacturing systems, data analysis, programming or AI applications is a plus.
• Experience using Generative AI, AI assistants or other AI-enabled tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical or mechanical issues in non-functioning equipment.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment per layout plans and manuals.

• Rebuild manufacturing equipment and support ramp-up.

Responsibilities

Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process

Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings

• Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.
• Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required
• May perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers.
• Responsible for Test equipment transfer, setup and buyoff, and support for manufacturing ramp up
• Responsible for sustain equipment uptime, with hand on trouble shooting on the equipment
• Perform and complete the scheduled PM as per plan
• Perform equipment setup, buyoff, and conversion
• Work on spare part/tools/meters management

Requirements

• Diploma in mechanical engineering & Electronic/Electrical Engineering
• Highly motivated individuals with more than1 year working experience are encouraged to apply!
• Good understanding of Semiconductor Testing equipment processes. In-depth knowledge & hands on experience will be a plus point.
• A good teammate equipped with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiarity with manufacturing systems, data analysis, programming, or Artificial Intelligenceapplications is a plus.
• Experience using Generative AI,AI Assistant, or other AI-Enabledtools is preferred.
