Job summary

Oxydata Software Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Senior Teradata System Analyst to support Financial Regulatory Reporting initiatives, focusing on the Global Data Warehouse and Data Marts. You will analyse requirements, collaborate with data architects and developers, and ensure data quality across platforms.

The role demands strong SQL, data modelling, and extensive experience with GDW/ETL tools in a banking/regulatory context.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in a related discipline.
• 9+ years of experience as a System Analyst in data warehouse or regulatory reporting environments.
• Hands-on experience with Global Data Warehouse (GDW) and Data Marts.
• Extensive experience with Cloudera Hadoop Distribution (6.x), Teradata IntelliFlex, AS400, Informatica Data Integration Suite (BDM, IDQ, IDL), and BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyse, document, and validate business and system requirements for FRR projects.
• Support design, enhancement, and maintenance of GDW and Data Marts.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, data architects, developers, and project teams to deliver data solutions.
• Perform data analysis, mapping, impact and gap analyses for regulatory reporting.
• Coordinate UAT, production implementation, and release planning.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across enterprise platforms.
• Investigate production incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Prepare functional specs, technical documentation, and data flow diagrams.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Teradata System Analyst to support Financial Regulatory Reporting (FRR) initiatives, focusing on the Global Data Warehouse (GDW) and Data Marts.

Responsibilities

• Analyse, document, and validate business and system requirements for Financial Regulatory Reporting (FRR) projects.
• Support the design, enhancement, and maintenance of the Global Data Warehouse (GDW) and Data Marts.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data architects, developers, and project teams to deliver scalable and reliable data solutions.
• Perform data analysis, data mapping, impact assessments, and gap analysis for regulatory reporting requirements.
• Coordinate system integration, user acceptance testing (UAT), and production implementation activities.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across enterprise data platforms.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents, including root cause analysis and issue resolution.
• Prepare functional specifications, technical documentation, and data flow documentation.
• Work with development teams to ensure compliance with enterprise architecture, governance, and regulatory standards.
• Participate in release planning, change management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Must-have:

• Diploma or equivalent in a related discipline.

• More than 9 years of experience as a System Analyst in enterprise data warehouse or regulatory reporting environments.
• Strong experience supporting Global Data Warehouse (GDW) and Data Marts.
• Hands‑on experience with Cloudera Hadoop Distribution (6.x), Teradata IntelliFlex, AS400, Informatica Data Integration Suite (BDM, IDQ, IDL), Microsoft Business Intelligence, Qlik Sense, SAS, Microsoft R, and Experian PowerCurve.
• Strong database knowledge in AS400 DB2, Teradata, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency with AS400, Teradata (TD Studio, IFX, MDM, FSLDM/GCFR, ViewPoint), Oracle SQL Developer, Spark, Hive, Impala, Kafka, Cloudera Data Science Workbench, JIRA, Jenkins, Bitbucket, SonarQube, QuerySurge, Microsoft Power BI, Business Objects, PuTTY, Aldon, and Control‑M.
• Strong SQL, data analysis, and data modelling skills.
• Experience working within banking, financial services, or regulatory reporting environments.
• Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.

Nice‑to‑have:

• Experience with financial regulatory reporting frameworks and banking compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of enterprise data governance, metadata management, and data lineage.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, or DevOps delivery methodologies.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and modern data engineering practices.
• Experience in performance tuning, ETL optimisation, and large-scale data migration projects.
