Job summary

Coherent Corp. in Ipoh, Malaysia is seeking a hands-on maintenance professional to maintain tester functionality, minimize downtime, and perform systematic device verification and tester conversions according to production and planner requirements.

You will support new setups and GRR activities while ensuring proper housekeeping aligns with our Quality Policy. The role requires a Diploma in Mechatronics/Mechanical/Electrical disciplines, hands-on experience with testers, and strong analytical

Qualifications

• Experience with testers or equipment configuring and troubleshooting.
• Experience in tester debugging or verification.
• Experience in high-mix, high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Good computer literacy with basic SPC knowledge.
• Strong analytical skills with hands-on attitude.
• Adaptable to rapid changes in business needs.
• Knowledge of mechanical dimensioning and tolerancing; poka-yoke is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain tester uptime and ensure overall equipment uptime in Front of Line machines and fixtures.
• Willing to work overtime when needed to support operation or manpower constraints.
• Responsible for spare parts tracking, replenishment, and updates.
• Collaborate with in-house automation team on new equipment release for buy-off and installation.
• Collaborate with process engineering on yield improvement related to machines and fixtures.
• Emphasize safety and maintain zero-accident mindset; ensure ISO records are kept.
