Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a Technical Sourcing Specialist to coordinate direct and indirect material requirements to support ongoing equipment manufacturing priorities. You will source fabrication parts, standard components, and sub-assemblies while collaborating with regional vendors.

You will drive supplier evaluations, maintain ERP records, and manage inventory demand to mitigate delivery risks for contracted modules, reporting to the sourcing assistant manager.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in technical sourcing, procurement engineering, or purchasing within capital equipment manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and machining processes.
• Experience managing purchase records and inventory data in ERP systems.
• Background in commercial negotiations, lead-time optimization, and vendor performance tracking.
• Bachelor degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing fabrication parts, standard components, and specialized sub-assemblies aligned with operational needs.
• Partnering with regional vendors to secure competitive costs and lead-time efficiencies.
• Driving zero-defect quality programs with cross-functional technical teams.
• Conducting quarterly supplier evaluations and maintaining category records within tier-1 ERP systems.
• Managing inventory demand requirements and resolving delivery risks for contracted modules.
