Job summary

ELSA in Malaysia seeks a Technical Safety Specialist to conduct comprehensive safety assessments and risk evaluations across oil and gas projects, including HAZOP, QRA, and fire/explosion analyses. The role ensures engineering designs meet safety standards and regulatory requirements while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

You will mentor junior engineers, provide coaching, and support project execution, applying API, ASME, and ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years in technical safety within oil & gas, esp. E&P.
• Led safety studies from concept to execution.
• Proficient with safety management software and risk assessment tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support in Technical Safety across studies and project execution.
• Lead safety studies and manage safety-related projects from conception through completion.
• Coach junior engineers and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
