Job summary

SD Guthrie International in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Senior Tax professional to lead tax planning, compliance and advisory for operating units across the group. You will identify tax issues, provide strategic guidance on business transactions and ensure robust governance and reporting.

The ideal candidate holds a Degree/Professional qualification in Finance or Accountancy, has 8+ years of relevant experience including exposure to Malaysian taxation, and demonstrates a customer‑oriented

Qualifications

• Degree/Professional qualification in Finance/Accountancy.
• 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably mix of professional firm and commercial experience.
• Strong foundation in Malaysian taxation; indirect tax or transfer pricing knowledge is an advantage.
• Customer-oriented approach with drive for results.

Responsibilities

• Identify tax issues for operating units arising from transactions and discussions.
• Provide tax planning opportunities and manage tax risks; implement process controls for compliance and governance.
