Job description

We are seeking a meticulous Senior Tax Analyst to join our team. The role involves managing tax compliance and reporting within the industrial/manufacturing industry.

Description
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual tax calculations for assigned China entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery.
  • Submit required tax applications (e.g., withholding tax, import/export VAT) or coordinate with Field Finance/local tax firms for bureau submissions.
  • Work closely with the China Tax Reporting team to ensure tax filings are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Provide necessary documentation and information for local tax and government audits.
  • Work closely with the Tax Reporting team and Corporate Tax to follow up on audit progress and requirements.
  • Execute VAT reconciliations (WD+2/3) across assigned entities, investigate discrepancies, and drive timely resolution.
  • Perform Cadency reconciliations for VAT and WHT accounts; monitor outstanding items and work with stakeholders to clear them.
  • Prepare statistical reports by consolidating and loading SAP/HR/tax-payment data into BPC, ensuring accuracy for downstream submissions.
  • Forecast subsidies for BDS and provide inputs for planning and forecasting cycles.
  • Support the JV GM in preparing financial reports for JV partners; coordinate partner inquiries and participate in BOD meetings where required.
  • Extract SAP fixed asset local book data into Access (China Fixed Assets Tax Book).
  • Coordinate reviews and updates with Field Accountants and Corporate Tax.
  • Ensure smooth transition and handover of tasks from other team members, including maintaining proper documentation and coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate documentation required for local statutory audits.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by managers as needed.
Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in tax reporting calculation.
  • Advantageous to have experience coordinating with local tax bureaus; experience in tax outsourcing services is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of China tax regulations, VAT/WHT processes, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Proficient in SAP, BPC, and Excel, with familiarity in statistics reporting tools.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Able to communicate and coordinate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Committed to compliance, accuracy, and timely execution of finance processes.
  • Fluent in Mandarin (able to read and write Chinese) and capable of using English at a business communication level.
