Manulife is seeking a Finance Reconciliation Specialist to join the Asia finance operations team. You will manage suspense accounts, perform reconciliations, and drive process improvements across Operations and Finance.

The role requires 5+ years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to collaborate with regional stakeholders while adhering to internal controls and governance standards.

Qualifikationen

• University Business Degree and/or recognized accounting designation.
• 5+ years of progressive financial accounting experience.
• Strong stakeholder management, persuasion, relationship-building and negotiation skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong technical accounting skills.
• Experience in Blackline, Cadency or any Finance reconciliation system is an advantage.
• Self-starter with ownership and accountability of processes.
• Strong oral/written communication to interact with senior officers.
• Highly organized in fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments.
• Understanding of Lawson or general finance systems.
• Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Excel and MS Office suite.

Aufgaben

• Prepare reconciliation, matching rate and aging reports for suspense accounts; provide commentaries on investigations.
• Identify adjustments including write-offs of unclaimed property.
• Meet deadlines for sign-offs, risk reporting, and related reports.
• Onboard new accounts into the suspense account management tool (Cadency).
• Collaborate to review/edit matching rules to increase auto-matching rate in Cadency.
• Ensure separation of duties and adherence to suspense account standards.
• Escalate risks and issues; lead touch point meetings as needed.
• Maintain process documents describing the business and accounting model.
• Conduct peer quality checks for journal entries and reports.
• Participate in regional strategic projects and other ad-hoc activities.
