OSRAM OS Penang is seeking a Supply Planner to plan and schedule Finished Goods build plans, optimizing line loading, improving FG commitment and delivery performance, and managing inventory to meet company objectives. The role also involves participation in business process optimization projects.

You will handle build plan scheduling, logistics coordination, inventory reviews, and resolve operational issues with R&D, NPI and Production teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field.
Proven experience in supply planning, production scheduling or related roles.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and understanding of production constraints.
At least 2 years of planning experience.
Proficiency in supply chain planning tools and ERP systems.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office for data analysis and reporting.
Strong analytical and planning skills.
Ability to manage cross-functional coordination.
Proactive problem-solving and escalation handling.
Knowledge of inventory control and production scheduling.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review weekly build plans based on planning forecasts and customer orders, factoring in capacity, loading matrix, and inventory checks.
Perform bin-level planning to match customer requirements with WIP and build plans.
Ensure capacity availability for product ramp-up, collaborate with Industrial Engineering on capacity aligned with product mix requirements.
Support engineering and customer sample builds.
Coordinate new material setup upon notification from project leader.
Ensure timely and accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) creation.
Conduct monthly inventory reviews.
Identify unhealthy inventory categories and define corrective actions.
Review fallout inventory and schedule production for retest.
For blocked & RMA stock due to quality issues, follow up with Quality and Engineering teams for disposition, if approved for retest, schedule rework PO to production.
Monitor WIP movement and FG supply status with line steering to ensure reliable FG commitment.
Trigger early warnings to OM planners if FG supply is insufficient based on defined escalation level criteria, clarify urgent topics and provide prompt status updates.
Coordinate new product ramp-up activities, work closely with R&D, NPI, and Production teams to ensure reliable sample commitments.
Act as the primary contact for Launch Support Management (LSM) team.
