Job summary

Mason and Co Pte Ltd in Malaysia seeks an experienced Supplier Quality Team Leader to direct supplier quality activities for mechanical components and spare parts.

You will lead a team, drive continuous improvement, manage non-conformances, and collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering and Operations to ensure zero defects and strong supplier performance. Proven leadership, ISO 9001:2015 knowledge, and hands-on experience with motors, valves, pumps and machined parts are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of Supplier Quality / Quality Engineering experience, preferably with technical or team leadership exposure.
• Strong experience with supplier audits and supplier improvement programs.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical components / spare parts, such as motors, valves, pumps, machined parts, sheet metal, fabricated parts and mechanical assemblies.
• Strong knowledge of machining and assembly processes.
• Good understanding of ISO 9001:2015.
• Strong problem-solving skills in 8D, 5 Why, Pareto, FMEA and DMAIC.
• Knowledge of SPC, MSA, PPAP and APQP is an advantage.
• Lean / Six Sigma or Green Belt certification is a plus.
• Strong communication and supplier management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide the Supplier Quality team in daily supplier quality activities.
• Drive supplier quality improvement and a "Zero Defects" mindset.
• Manage supplier quality issues, non-conformances, containment, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Lead supplier problem-solving using 8D, 5 Why, CAPA and other structured methodologies.
• Conduct and lead supplier audits, evaluations and follow-up actions.
• Monitor supplier quality performance including DPPM, audit results and corrective action closure.
• Work closely with suppliers and internal Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality and Operations teams.
• Support new supplier and material qualification.
• Coach and develop Supplier Quality Engineers.
