Job summary

Lam Research Corporation in Batu Kawan, Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Supplier MRB Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to manage supplier-related nonconforming quality issues within MRB processes. You will work with cross-functional teams across manufacturing and supplier engineering to safeguard product quality and ensure on-time customer fulfillment.

The role offers broad exposure to machining, molding, stamping, PCB assembly, electronics, and coatings, with a focus on data-driven problem solving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent.
• 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, supplier engineering, operations, or quality.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems and processes.
• Experience in MRB, nonconformance, supplier quality environments.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; data-driven decision making.
• Ability to prioritize multiple issues in a fast-paced setting.
• Proven ability to lead effective meetings with clear problem statements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Lean Six Sigma tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier-related nonconforming quality issues affecting factory operations via MRB process.
• Participate in daily MRB activities and coordinate reviews with supplier engineers and manufacturing teams.
• Initiate containment actions and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
• Drive closure of overdue MRB records through proactive follow-up and escalation.
• Facilitate alignment when disposition ownership or supplier responsibility is disputed.
• Monitor MRB aging, overdue actions, closure performance, and process bottlenecks.
• Coordinate technical investigations, supplier rework, and inspections with stakeholders.
• Analyze recurring defects and implement corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance MRB efficiency and reduce nonconformances.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives engaging stakeholders across organizational levels.
