Ingredion Incorporated in Malaysia seeks a Senior Costing Executive to support end-to-end costing and inventory activities in our plant operations. You will work across costing processes, BOM checks, and financial reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance.

The role requires manufacturing costing experience, a degree in accounting/finance, and strong SAP/Excel skills, with English fluency and the ability to operate in a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
Experience in manufacturing costing is required.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Strong Excel skills and SAP experience.

Responsibilities

Perform period-end costing and ensure timely SAP closures.
Update costing data and prepare recurring and ad hoc cost/inventory reports.
Analyze cost impact and maintain standard costs in SAP.
Prepare costing analyses for material price changes due to FX fluctuations.
Monitor BOM and routing in liaison with operations team.
Prepare manufacturing reports: variance analysis and expenses vs budget.
Support intercompany and interregional pricing analyses.
Assist with inventory provisions and slow-moving inventory.
Participate in warehouse stock counts as finance counterpart.
Prepare capex reports and ensure asset capitalization compliance.

As a

Responsible for period-end costing activities to ensure period is closed as per agreed timetable in SAP
Update Entity and Group costing information and prepare recurring and ad hoc costing and inventory reports to facilitate the monthly review and analysis from Corporate and external auditors
Analyze cost impact and maintain standard costs of new items or revise on existing items in SAP
Prepare costing analysis for any change of material prices due to fluctuations in foreign exchange
Monitor Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing and liaise with operations team.
Prepare all manufacturing related reports e.g. variance analysis and manufacturing expenses for actuals vs budget, etc.
Prepare cost and margin analysis by products/models/customers
Analyze Intercompany / Inter regional pricing and net structural savings
Support monthly inventory provision and slow-moving provision based on inventory accounting policies
Involve in warehouse stock count process as a finance counterpart and review the stock count control and follow-up on count variances
Prepare capital expenditure report for actuals versus budgets and ensure the fixed asset capitalization is adhered to accounting policies
Manage plant accounting function and ensure accurate accounting record – Fixed Asset, COGS, Inventory, Intangible Asset, overhead prepayment, overhead accruals, and etc

What You Will Bring

Degree in Accounting / Finance or relevant field
Work experience in manufacturing for costing role is a must
English fluency, both written and spoken
Good excel skill
SAP experience

Work independently with minimum supervision from superior and proactively engage with operations teams to resolve issues and close any operation and accounting gap
Able to understand the plant operations and provide an in-depth analysis on the product costing view
