Job summary

Wolfspeed Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive improvements in manufacturability, yield, performance, quality and reliability for our power products.

You will lead or assist in setting up equipment, production lines, and processes, and implement changes while ramping new products from R&D. You will create and maintain detailed process documentation, manage design implementation of changes, and coordinate with contract manufacturers and suppliers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing field with a relevant engineering degree.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration and project management skills.
• Ability to work with urgency in fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing.
• Proficient with FMEA, SPC, Pareto Analysis, DOE and structured problem solving (8D, 5-Why, DMAIC).
• Experience delivering results to meet deadlines in a demanding environment.
• Preferred: semiconductor Die level/test experience and handling equipment knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to drive manufacturability and yield improvements.
• Lead or assist setup of equipment, lines, and processes; implement changes.
• Participate in reviews to ensure design for manufacturability best practices.
• Ramp new products from R&D while monitoring performance and improvements.
• Create and update detailed process and procedure documentation.
• Direct and manage design implementation of process changes and modifications.
• Plan and direct complex projects or major phases; manage schedules and risks.
• Collaborate with contract manufacturing, engineers, and suppliers.
• Prevent quality excursions; monitor performance and analyze data for anomalies.
• Identify and implement improvements and equipment/process upgrades.
