Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in Malaysia seeks a Senior Staff Engineer Unit Process Engineering to develop robust processes and lead a team to improve yield and quality to meet KPIs. You will sustain and improve processes to deliver products with the committed functionality, reliability, time, volume and cost.

You will support the development of new technologies and ensure smooth transition into volume production, while adhering to control plans and quality checks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Microelectronics / Mechatronics / Materials Science / Semiconductor Technology.
• Minimum 5 years related experience in FOL Process Engineering or Semiconductor Assembly Manufacturing.
• Experience in Wire Bond Statistical data analysis.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate across different levels of staff.
• First level reliability knowledge of failure modes and related tests.
• Experience driving 8D, DMAIC, Process Mapping, FTA, Fish Bone methodologies.

• Ensure control plan deployment and quality controls.
• Sustain and continuously improve qualified technologies in volume production.
• Support development of new technologies and transitions into volume production.
• Accountable for driving 8D closures for FAR, MRB, DDM and SDCAR.
• Lead yield and quality improvements and cost-reduction activities.
• Serve as a technical expert in new material, process and method qualification.
• Provide technical consultation and guidance to the team for daily tasks and projects.
• Support auditing activities.

Your role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Responsible for developing a robust process and continuously driving and leading the team to improve yield and quality to meet KPIs
• Sustain and improve processes to deliver products to customers with the committed functionality, reliability, time, volume and cost
• Ensure compliance with control plan deployment and quality controls , including a good understanding of key parameter definitions and controls
• Sustain and continuously improve qualified technologies in volume production with regard to stability, quality, productivity and yield
• Support the development of new technologies and ensure a smooth transition into volume production and integration into the manufacturing environment
• Accountable for driving the 8D closure of FAR, MRB, DDM and SDCAR
• Lead and participate in yield and quality improvement and cost-reduction activities
• Serve as a technical expert in new material, process and method qualification
• Provide technical consultation and guidance to the team to ensure successful execution of daily tasks and projects
• Support auditing activities

Your profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Microelectronics / Mechatronics / Materials Science / Semiconductor Technology
• Minimum 5 years related experience in FOL Process Engineering or in Semiconductor Assembly Manufacturing background
• Knowledge in FOL process engineering specializing in Wire Bond Statistical data analysis, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to anticipate issues and challenges and resolving them quickly
• Expert in process knowledge and skills in manufacturing process & some equipment knowledge
• Systematic Problem-Solving methodology (e.g. 8D, DMAIC, Process Mapping, FTA, Fish Bond…etc)
• Good knowledge and skills in production area ; able to communicate with different level of staffs
• First level reliability (Knowledge of various failure modes, knowledge of application and respective reliability requirements and test standards)
