Job summary

Motorola Solutions in Malaysia is seeking a Regulatory Certification professional to guide certification processes across EMC, RF, and Product Safety standards. You will collaborate with SMEs and product teams to interpret requirements, prepare filings, and liaise with authorities and third parties to obtain timely certifications.

The role requires a Bachelor in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, strong electronics foundations, and excellent communication skills to clearly articulate

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of EMC, RF, and Product Safety standards.
• Ability to interpret technical test standards and documents.
• Experience in product testing and test reporting.
• Ability to plan tests with design engineers and debug failures.
• Clear communication and ability to articulate technical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation on Regulatory certification to SMEs, DE, PM, PDM, Prod Ops, Regulatory Coordinator and Regulatory Admin.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement regulatory decisions.
• Stay updated on authority requirements and assess impact with SMEs.
• Interpret regulatory requirements and communicate to PDM, PM and DE.
• Review filing documents to meet country requirements.
• Liaise with in-country authorities and third parties to obtain certification; submit packages and respond to inquiries.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Resolve market surveillance issues.
• Work with government affairs and industry associations on regulatory matters (lobbying).
• Participate in regulatory workshops.

Support the MSI products regulatory certification across difference regions such as North Ameria, Latin Ameria, EMEA & APAC.

Job Description

• Provide consultation on Regulatory certification to SMEs, DE, PM, PDM, Prod Ops, Regulatory Coordinator and Regulatory Admin
• Collaborate with the internal stakeholders to implement Regulatory related decision.
• Stay abreast on the latest requirement from authority and assess the potential impact (with SMEs) to the product.
• To interpret and understand the regulatory requirement and communicate to the organization (PDM, PM and DE)
• Review the filing document/package to ensure it meet the country’s requirement .
• Liaise with In Country authority and third party to get certification; submit package, respond to the inquiry, followup to ensure meet the requirement.
• Proactively identify the risk and the mitigation plan.
• Resolve market surveillance issue.
• Working with government affairs and industrial association on conflicting regulatory matters (lobbying).
• Participate in the Regulatory workshop

Basic Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
• Strong basic electronics knowledge
• Knowledge of regulatory standards for EMC, RF and Product Safety isa plus.
• Perform product testing and generating test report
• Work with design engineering on test planning and test failure debugging.
• Able to interpret technical test standards and technical documents
• Must have skill: Strong basic electronic & test equipment knowledge
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Able to clearly articulate thoughts and ideas
