Job summary

Grab, Southeast Asia's leading superapp, is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to improve stability and operational excellence for the Mobility team's transport module. You will work on high-throughput, real-time distributed systems across multiple regions, reporting to the Software Engineering Manager and stationed onsite in Kuala Lumpur.

You will diagnose incidents, automate tasks, and help shape engineering culture while mentoring juniors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, SE, IT or related field.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in SRE/DevOps or similar roles.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis and software design.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, C, C++, Java, Perl or Ruby.
• Experience with service monitoring, logging and alerting tools.
• Linux troubleshooting and automation via shell scripting.
• Automation and provisioning tools such as Jenkins, Ansible/Chef/SaltStack/Puppet.

Responsibilities

• Provide automated solutions for manual tasks and challenges.
• Manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
• Deep-dive into incidents and coordinate resolutions with multiple teams.
• Support teams with long-term infra decisions and optimizations.
• Drive operational excellence to improve reliability, stability and scalability.
• Lead junior engineers and mentor them to grow.
