Job summary

6255 UOB Innovation Hub 2 Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks an experienced Splunk/Log Analytics Engineer to design, implement, and manage the firm-wide Splunk platform. You will lead admin, dashboards, reporting, and alerting, while aligning roadmaps with business needs.

The role requires 6+ years of experience (3+ in log management/IT ops), strong SPL, and DevOps exposure. Expect collaboration across teams and hands-on delivery in a high-availability environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in computer science / IT is required.
• 6+ years total experience with at least 3 years in log management or IT operations related to Splunk/enterprise monitoring.
• Experience creating dashboards, visualizations, reports and scheduled searches.
• Experience tuning and optimizing Splunk components and queries.
• Expertise in writing custom queries with Splunk SPL.
• Experience integrating Splunk with diverse data sources.
• DevOps exposure with Chef, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Agile (Scrum/Kanban) experience with related tools.
• REST API and scripting (Python/JavaScript).
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible).
• System admin and IT infrastructure knowledge.
• Certified Splunk Admin preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs, implement, and configure the firm-wide Log Analytics Platform using Splunk.
• Administer and monitor lifecycle of Splunk components and apps in a DevOps style.
• Prioritize roadmaps and deliverables with hands-on execution.
• Assist users in designing and maintaining production dashboards.
• Configure custom reporting and alerting.
• Optimize data models, indexes, and searches per best practices.
• Coordinate with other teams and resolve advanced issues.
• Write and develop custom scripts as needed.
• Assist in Splunk upgrades and infrastructure expansion.
• Manage data ingestion from various sourcetypes to the central platform.
