Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, auditing, law or related field.
  • 5–8 years progressive experience in corporate compliance, risk management or audit.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • High ethical standards with discretion in handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

  • Policy and procedures review, update, dissemination, and tracking for compliance operations.
  • Monitor gifts, hospitality, conflicts, related party transactions, insider trading and maintain supporting records.
  • Screen and monitor vendors, customers, and third parties in onboarding processes; record outcomes and escalate as needed.
  • Maintain compliance risk assessments and dashboards; perform periodic monitoring and escalation of high-risk items.
  • Track regulatory changes locally and internationally and support implementation across units.
  • Assist in training development and periodic policy training for staff; ensure completion tracking.
  • Investigate compliance breaches, manage whistleblower reports, and maintain audit trails.

Job Summary

The Senior Specialist, Compliance supports the Compliance function by carrying out day-to-day operational compliance activities, including screening and monitoring, maintaining compliance registers, tracking remediation actions, and supporting implementation of internal compliance reports/registers. The role is focused on reliable execution, accurate recordkeeping, timely follow-up, and escalation of issues where required, while contributing to a culture of ethics and integrity across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Policy and Procedures Support: Support the review, update, dissemination, and tracking of policies, procedures, and compliance/risk operations and assessments.
  • Assist with monitoring key policy areas such as gifts and hospitality, conflicts, related party transactions, personal account dealing, and insider trading, including maintaining supporting records and reporting.
  • Screening and Monitoring: Perform screening, monitoring, and tracking of vendors, customers, and other relevant third parties in conjunction with the onboarding teams.
  • Maintain clear records of screening outcomes, follow up on required information, performing periodic monitoring along with escalation of higher-risk matches or unresolved items in line with internal procedures.
  • Risk Assessment: Support compliance risk assessments projects to identify potential compliance vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain compliance risk assessments/dashboards.
  • Regulatory/Requirements Monitoring: Track and analyze new and evolving local and international laws and regulations affecting the business.
  • Support affected business units in implementation of such key requirements across relevant jurisdictions.
  • Training: Support compliance training development for employees and management.
  • Carry out periodic training for key policies (e.g. annual Conflicts of Interest training and attestations) and tracking for completion.
  • Incident Management: Investigate compliance breaches, handle whistleblower reports, and maintaining audit trails and mitigation follow-up.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Education: A recognized bachelor’s degree in business, finance, auditing, law or a related field.
  • Experience: 5–8 years of progressive experience in corporate compliance, operational/business risk management or audit roles.
  • Skills: Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities, organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • High ethical standards and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
