Job summary

Robert Bosch Power Tools Sdn Bhd in Penang invites an experienced engineer to lead equipment, workstation, and investment planning for new and existing product lines. You will define SRS with FPV/QPV, purchase and set up all workstations, and drive improvements to reduce setup times and boost process stability.

You will collaborate with Maintenance on sustaining activities, plus conduct MSA and CpK/CmK studies while ensuring thorough handovers to maintenance before mass production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in engineering/manufacturing environments.
• Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; self-driven and able to work independently.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Plan MAE and EWAK investments for new and existing lines/products with cost/feasibility analysis.
• Develop workstation layouts based on process definitions from VSE/IE.
• Define SRS with FPV/QPV, purchase, setup, trial, and buy-off all workstations for new products and projects.
• Set up machines/equipment with IE support and complete buy-off before Pilot Run and Mass Production.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce setup time and enhance stability.
• Collaborate with Maintenance to sustain running product improvements.
• Define, purchase, and deploy fixtures, tools, and equipment for new products, including MSA and CpK/ CmK studies.
• Train maintenance teams and ensure knowledge transfer for smooth ramp-up and sign-off before mass production.
