Job summary

Bosch Malaysia in Penang seeks an experienced Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronic Engineer to plan assembly processes, optimize design and tooling for cost efficiency, and collaborate with project teams to meet time and budget targets.

You will define equipment specs, setup manufacturing cells, perform PFMEA and Control Plan activities, and contribute to continuous improvements of OEE, FPY, MTTR, and MTBF. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in mechanical/electrical/mechatronic engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience in assembly processes.
• At least 2 years in line setup, process planning, PFMEA and control plan creation.
• Adequate knowledge of PFMEAs, Control Plan, Production Systems, and box-build assembly processes.
• Strong oral and written communication with all levels of staff.
• Good decision-making, problem solving and result orientation.

Responsibilities

• Plan assembly processes flow to improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Collaborate with project teams to minimize product cost via design and process optimization.
• Support RFQ calculations and provide investments for standard modules.
• Define equipment specs and setup manufacturing cells on time and within budget.
• Evaluate equipment and process performance across project stages.
• Develop technical reports by collecting and summarizing data and trends.
• Identify process specs and maintenance strategies for line release.
• Lead problem solving in assembly processes and train technicians.
