Job summary

Singtel KL (Sudong MY Sdn Bhd) seeks a Senior Solution Designer (SharePoint) to bridge business needs and technology delivery within the SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 ecosystem. You will translate requirements into effective designs, partner with stakeholders, IT teams and vendors, and drive measurable outcomes across the intranet portfolio.

The role requires hands-on experience delivering SharePoint Online and MS 365 solutions, SPFx, Power Automate and Power Apps, with strong C#, .NET 6,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline
• At least 6 years of software development and solution design experience
• Hands-on experience delivering SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 solutions
• Experience with SPFx, Power Automate and Power Apps
• Proficiency in C#, .NET 6, TypeScript, Node.js, NuGet, Visual Studio
• Experience with relational databases (SQL Server/Oracle)
• Knowledge of SharePoint APIs, Microsoft Graph, REST, JSON, XML
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins/TeamCity/Octopus Deploy)
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience with Azure or AWS and API management is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and enhance SharePoint Online sites, lists, document libraries, workflows and web parts.
• Build custom solutions using SPFx, Power Automate and Power Apps.
• Integrate solutions with SharePoint APIs, Microsoft Graph, REST APIs and data sources.
• Work with outsourced IT providers to meet timelines and SLAs.
• Apply secure development practices, testing, source control and CI/CD throughout the lifecycle.
• Deliver projects within scope, timelines and budget with measurable business benefits.
• Serve as a governance and architectural advisor across the intranet portfolio.
• Engage stakeholders, refine requirements and communicate technical options clearly.

We are looking for a Senior Solution Designer (SharePoint) to bridge business needs and technology delivery by designing secure, scalable and maintainable solutions across the SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 ecosystem. You will partner with business stakeholders, IT teams and vendors to translate requirements into effective solution designs, deliver measurable business outcomes, and continuously improve the intranet application portfolio.

• Solution Architecture & Domain Ownership
• Analyse business and technical requirements and design fit-for-purpose solutions for projects and enhancements.
• Define, standardise and govern solution architecture, design standards and processes across the intranet application portfolio.
• Translate user requirements into clear business process and solution models.
• Create and maintain accurate solution architecture, design, specification and support documentation.
• Apply technical due diligence to ensure proposed functionality is necessary, supportable and aligned with established standards.
• Project Delivery & Change Management
• Deliver projects and change requests with clear, measurable business benefits within agreed scope, timelines and budget.
• Coordinate with delivery teams and vendors to ensure solutions are implemented in accordance with approved designs and governance requirements.
• Manage solution and process changes with stakeholders while minimising disruption to business operations and automation.
• Review technical solution designs, specifications and test results, and provide input for approvals where required.
• Manage multiple workstreams and dependencies while maintaining delivery quality and accountability.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Consultancy
• Act as a strategic interface and key point of contact between IT and business stakeholders across the Singtel Group.
• Engage stakeholders regularly to understand business needs, build trust and strengthen collaboration.
• Provide consultancy to refine business ideas and recommend practical, industry-aligned solutions.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain a healthy, prioritised pipeline of projects, enhancements and changes.
• Communicate technical options, trade-offs, risks and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Operational Excellence & Service Management
• Ensure incidents, service requests and system changes are addressed within agreed service levels.
• Drive continuous improvement through proactive review, optimisation and automation of systems and processes.
• Identify recurring issues and recommend sustainable improvements that deliver measurable value to IT and the business.
• Support service governance, documentation and operational readiness for solutions within the assigned portfolio.
• Technology Delivery, Governance & Vendor Management
• Design, develop and enhance SharePoint Online sites, lists, document libraries, workflows and web parts.
• Build custom solutions using SharePoint Framework (SPFx), Power Automate, Power Apps and other Microsoft 365 services.
• Integrate solutions using SharePoint APIs, Microsoft Graph, REST APIs and enterprise data sources.
• Work closely with outsourced IT providers to ensure services, solutions and issue resolution are delivered within agreed timelines and SLAs.
• Apply secure development, testing, source control, build management and CI/CD practices throughout the solution lifecycle.

Skills For Success

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• At least 6 years of relevant software development and solution design experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 solutions, including SPFx, Power Automate and Power Apps.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with C#, .NET 6 or later, TypeScript, Node.js/npm, NuGet, Visual Studio and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• At least 2 years of experience with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.
• Working knowledge of SharePoint APIs, Microsoft Graph, REST, JSON and XML.
• Experience with source control, package management, build management and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity or Octopus Deploy.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes in a changing environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS, API management platforms, or relevant Microsoft certifications is an advantage.
• Experience supporting or modernising legacy SharePoint solutions, including Designer or InfoPath-based implementations, is an advantage.
