Job summary

SICPA is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to define and maintain architectures aligned with customer needs and product capabilities. You will lead technical engagements, support pre-sales with architecture workshops, and coordinate across product, development and operations to ensure delivery alignment.

You will produce architectural documentation, lead reviews, and drive secure, compliant design choices while promoting reusable patterns across deployments and platforms.

• Coordinate with product, development and operations teams to resolve technical dependencies and maintain alignment throughout delivery.
• Produce and maintain architecture documentation covering solution design, integrations, deployment models and operational requirements.
• Lead architecture reviews, assess alternatives and document decisions and trade-offs.
• Support ongoing projects through technical guidance, troubleshooting coordination and targeted hands-on assistance.
• Ensure security, compliance and operational requirements are considered in solution design, working with the relevant specialists.
• Promote reusable designs and improvements that simplify implementation and lifecycle maintenance.

Profile:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in solution architecture or technical consulting, with demonstrated ownership of customer solution design and delivery
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to lead customer discussions, clarify requirements and communicate technical constraints
• Ability to take practical technical decisions, balancing business needs, delivery effort and operational constraints
• Ability to work independently, take ownership and coordinate across teams and time zones
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills
• Understanding of security and compliance requirements and their architectural implications
• Fluency in English is required, while proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia for discussions and workshops with local customers would be an added advantage
• Demonstrated experience owning solution design and supporting implementation and operational handover
• Experience in technical pre-sales, customer workshops and cross-functional project coordination
• Solid understanding of APIs, application integration, cloud platforms and containerized environments
• Experience designing solutions for SaaS, on-premises or hybrid deployments, including an understanding of multi-tenant architectures
• Knowledge of the fuel industry and its operational requirements is a plus.
