Job summary

NuEnergy Holdings Berhad is hiring a Senior Solar Design Engineer based in Kota Damansara, Petaling Jaya. Lead design from concept to commissioning for Solar PV and BESS projects, ensuring SLDs, protection coordination, and interconnection compliance with Malaysian standards.

Ideally 3+ years in Solar PV design, proficient in PVsyst, AutoCAD/ZWCAD, and MS Office; HelioScope/ARKA360 a plus. Strong analytical, communication and project management skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Solar PV system design (Commercial/Industrial, Utility-Scale, and BESS preferred).
• Proficient in PVsyst, AutoCAD/ZWCAD, and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of HelioScope or ARKA360 is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of TNB interconnection, Energy Commission regulations, IEC/IEEE standards, and MV distribution.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering design of Solar PV and BESS projects from concept through commissioning.
• Prepare and review electrical system designs including SLDs, cable sizing and voltage drop calculations, protection coordination, and fault level calculations.
• Perform PV system sizing, energy yield simulations, and performance analysis using PVsyst or equivalent.
• Design grid-connected, hybrid, and off-grid Solar PV systems; review drawings and calculations; ensure compliance with Malaysian standards.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, utilities, suppliers, and project teams; support tender submissions with technical proposals and cost-optimized solutions.
• Provide technical support during site surveys, construction, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting; mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.
