The Technology team that underpins the Supply activities within the Supply, Trading and Shipping business unit is looking to support the team in Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) to work alongside the business teams that operate in country and enable the significant growth agenda. Let me tell you about the role

The ST&S team in Aspac (ANZ) supports bp activities by running an efficient and increasingly optimized Fuel Supply and Trading business to a wide range of B2B customers both directly and via key partners. This role is responsible for supporting multiple applications in the bp ANZ ST&S space and supporting new projects.

You will also coordinate with internal Technology delivery teams in testing, management of environments and coordinating releases to support various project deliverables and BAU work items within the agreed timelines. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in an Agile environment, in testing and providing quality assurance. Critical to the success of this role is having strong analytical and technical skills, to work with globally distributed team of business analysts, developers, testers and support team in testing and release of product features and BAU work items.

As an Enterprise Technology Engineer you are a digital expert bringing deep specialist expertise to bp. Enterprise Technology Engineers work on the strategic technology platforms we exploit from the market, or come with deep skills in the implementation and integration of market solutions into our overall technology landscape. You will bring a broad base of Digital technical knowledge and a strong understanding of software delivery principles. You will be familiar with lifecycle methods, with Agile delivery and the DevOps approach at the core. You will be skilled in the delivery and operation of the technologies you deliver, working as part of multi-disciplinary squads.

What you will deliver

• Support Aspac ST&S Technical lead/s and business facing team members in to support delivery of BAU and Project work items. This includes the applications, networks, transmission systems and devices required to deliver digital products to end users both in the office and the field.
• Work with geographically diverse delivery groups (BA's QA's and Developers) and support teams to deliver solutions effectively and efficiently, following the change management procedures for smooth and timely delivery of solutions.
• Work and contribute as part of team within agile methodology with collaborative approach to sharing ideas and maintain/participate the Kanban board, daily scrums, and retrospective meetings.
• Identify common issues across business groups and help design a standardized solution for all.
• Proactively identify risks, suggest fixes for defects and support timely resolution of critical production issues. Define and document standard run books and operating procedures. Create and maintain system information and architecture diagrams.

What you will need to be successful (experience and qualifications) Technical skills we need from you

• An individual contributor who is proactive and takes ownership of work items and issues
• Possess excellent communication skills and be able to manage expectations with all squad members, especially business facing
• Solid programming skills to create, maintain, and execute code using various tools and frameworks.
• Core hands-on experience with modern development tools like Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline tools and their integration with version control tools like ADO, GitHub etc.
• Exposure to SAP ERP environments, ideally SAP IS-Oil modules.
• Exposure to modern integration platforms such as Mulesoft, IBM ConnectDirect and SaaS EDI solutions
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Hands-on experience with SQL to support operations and provide desired business outcomes.
• Hands-on skills in webapp development and maintenance, desktop UI automation, API Automation and performance testing
• Working within a defined Agile Kanban and/or Scrum frameworks and environment
• Coordinate between Scrum Master, Product owner and other team members to understand and articulate business requirement and convert them into project test scenarios.
• Maintaining backlogs, tasks, test reports and attending daily stand-ups
• Ensuring high-quality delivery from build and testing team through to code release
• Experience in development of automated test frameworks large datasets
• Exposure to .Net, REACT, MS SQL and Postgres codebases and application environments
• Experience working with file-based storage such as Azure Databricks.
• Highly responsible, self-motivated, and able to thrive in an energetic, fast paced, high growth environment. Exhibits ownership of projects and tasks assigned.
• Excellent organizational skills required to adapt to a constantly changing technical environment.
