Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 8–10 years of cybersecurity experience with 3–5 years in leading SOC, cyber defense, or incident response teams within banking/FS.
• Hands-on expertise with enterprise security tech: SIEM, SOAR, EDR, NDR, UEBA and monitoring tools.
• Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK, NIST IR, Cyber Kill Chain, forensics, threat hunting and incident management.
• Proven experience managing MSSPs, SLAs, and enterprise security ops in regulated environments.
• Knowledge of banking cybersecurity regulations (BNM RMiT, PCI-DSS, SWIFT CSP, ISO/IEC 27001).
• Certs such as CISSP, CISM, GCIA, GCIH, GMON, GCFA, GCTI are highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and project delivery skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day SOC operations: continuous monitoring, threat detection, incident triage and rapid response to cybersecurity events.
• Oversee design/optimization of security platforms (SIEM, SOAR, EDR, NDR, UEBA) for visibility and automation.
• Develop and improve threat detection use cases, monitoring rules, and response playbooks per MITRE ATT&CK.
• Direct incident response activities: investigations, containment, eradication, recovery, root cause analysis.
• Govern MSSPs: ensure SLAs, effective collaboration with internal teams.
• Lead proactive threat hunting using cyber threat intel to strengthen detections.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and support audits with governance and reporting.
• Mentor SOC analysts and engineers, drive SOC process improvements and automation.
