  • Plan and coordinate daily work priorities with contractors and subcontractors based on the approved construction programme.
  • Verify site readiness before work commences, including access, preceding works, approved drawings, materials, manpower, equipment and work permits.
  • Monitor work sequencing and interfaces between trades to prevent clashes, abortive work and disruption.
  • Ensure contractors maintain proper housekeeping, access and protection of completed works.
  • Provide practical site-level input to improve the execution and sequencing of construction activities.
Contractor and Workforce Coordination
  • Coordinate the activities of main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and site workers within assigned work areas.
  • Communicate work requirements, priorities, quality expectations and completion timelines clearly to contractor representatives.
  • Monitor contractor manpower, equipment deployment and work productivity against planned requirements.
  • Identify insufficient resources, poor coordination or performance concerns and require the contractor to take corrective action.
  • Facilitate coordination between trades where work interfaces, access constraints or competing priorities arise.
  • Escalate recurring or material contractor performance issues to the relevant Project Implementation manager.

  • Prepare accurate daily and weekly progress updates, including photographs, completed quantities, outstanding work and identified constraints.
  • Recommend practical recovery actions for routine delays and follow up on agreed corrective measures.
  • Promptly elevate matters that may affect major milestones, stage billing, inspections, handover or project completion.
Quality Control and Defect Management
  • Inspect construction works and materials to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, inspection and test plans and quality requirements.
  • Conduct or participate in inspection requests, joint inspections, mock-up reviews and quality checkpoints with contractors and consultants.
  • Identify defective, incomplete or non-compliant work and instruct the responsible contractor to undertake corrective or rectification work.
