Mahajaya Group seeks an Inspector of Works to oversee quality and compliance across residential developments. You will inspect ongoing works, verify workmanship and materials, and ensure adherence to approved drawings and standards.

The role involves documenting site progress, coordinating with contractors, and preparing technical reports for project managers. Strong QA/QC and collaboration skills are essential for timely, safe project delivery.

Qualifications

• Certificate, Diploma, Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years in landed residential property development projects.
• Experience in site supervision, QAQC, defect management and contractor coordination.
• Proficient in reviewing construction drawings and documentation.
• Registration with relevant professional bodies (IOW/BEM) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Inspect ongoing construction works to verify workmanship, materials, and quantities against approved standards.
• Ensure compliance with drawings including SPA drawings and defect rectification by contractors.
• Witness and validate required testing and site inspections.
• Maintain documentation of site progress, activities, manpower, and events.
• Prepare technical progress reports for the Project Manager and Project Executive.
• Identify unsafe practices and ensure adherence to Building Regulations and QAQC benchmarks.
• Coordinate with consultants and contractors to resolve design discrepancies and site constraints.
