Job summary

Hume Cement Sdn Bhd in Malaysia invites a Kiln Operations Leader to join our plant in Gopeng. You will lead shift teams to optimize kiln operations, reduce downtime, and ensure consistent clinker quality across production runs.

Responsibilities include controlling raw material usage, monitoring Specific Heat Consumption (SHC), and implementing measures to improve energy efficiency without compromising product quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in kiln operations, preferably in a leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of kiln processes, operation excellence, and quality control in the cement industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance in industrial settings.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Willingness to work in a shift-based environment.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Have 3 to 5 years of working experience in kiln operations, particularly in a leadership or shift leader role.

In-depth knowledge of kiln processes, operation excellence, and quality control in the cement industry.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance in an industrial setting.

Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

Willingness to work in a shift-based environment.

Commitment to fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Certification in relevant safety and quality management systems is a plus.
