Job summary

Trithermal Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to develop and manage the safety framework for personnel and subcontractors across customer and project sites in Malaysia.

You will coordinate with customer and main contractor safety teams, conduct regular site inspections, and prepare risk assessments, SIMs and permits to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma in engineering, construction, occupational safety and health or a related discipline, or equivalent site experience.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 1994, BOWEC 1986, FMA 1967, and DOSH/CIDB requirements.
• At least five years of experience as a Site Safety Supervisor or in a site safety role on construction, M&E or industrial projects.
• Data-centre project experience is highly preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Promote a strong safety culture across Trithermal's project and service teams.
• Act as Trithermal's Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) on customer and project sites in Malaysia, coordinating with main contractor SSS and safety teams.
• Carry out regular site safety inspections to identify hazards and rectify unsafe conditions and practices.
• Prepare and review HIRARC, risk assessments and safe work method statements for Trithermal's work.
• Manage permit-to-work applications for Trithermal's activities in line with main contractor and client requirements.
• Plan and monitor compliance on high-risk work activities (working at heights, hot works, lifting, confined space entry, electrical works).
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks and briefings for Trithermal personnel and subcontractors.
• Report and investigate incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions, and recommend preventive actions.
• Maintain safety records, inspection reports, permits and site documentation, and submit safety reports on time.

Trithermal is a growing chiller solutions provider supporting major commercial and mission-critical datacentre projects across South East Asia.

We manage the complete lifecycle of our chillers, including design and production coordination, delivery, installation support, commissioning, handover, warranty and after-sales service.

About the role

You will be responsible for developing and managing the safety framework for Trithermal personnel and subcontractors on customer and project sites, and for supporting the coordination of project and service works.

You will be required to work in close consultation with the customer's or main contractor's Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) and safety team to ensure Trithermal's works comply with site and statutory requirements.

You will be based at the Trithermal office in Medini, with regular travel to customer and project sites within Johor, and other locations as required.

About you

Data-centre project experience is extremely preferred.

Good knowledge of OSHA 1994, BOWEC 1986, FMA 1967 and DOSH and CIDB requirements.

Good knowledge of HIRARC, permit-to-work systems and risk assessments.

Strong communication skills for working with customers, main contractors, consultants and project teams.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Possess a valid Malaysian driving licence and be willing to travel.

Hands-on involvement in major data centre and mission-critical cooling projects.

Exposure to advanced oil-free chiller and magnetic-bearing compressor technology.
