Job summary

Landmark Reservoir Centre of Excellence in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Subject Matter Expert Software Engineer. You will apply reservoir engineering knowledge to develop data driven software solutions that support reservoir management and decision making.

The role combines domain expertise with software development, collaborating with clients to deliver innovative tools for ensemble modelling and simulation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong Python skills.
• MSc in reservoir engineering, petroleum engineering or geosciences.
• Experience with reservoir modelling workflows and uncertainty.
• Experience with geomodelling tools and commercial flow simulators.
• Background in E&P or oilfield services is advantageous.
• Strong software engineering background.
• Working knowledge of Git.
• Knowledge of C#, F#, JavaScript is a plus.
• Passionate about building software tools for reservoir modelling.
• Lean/Agile environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop data driven applications for reservoir management software solutions.
• Collaborate with clients to develop new applications and solve real-world problems.
• Support deployment and growth of ensemble technology and improve customer use of technology.
• Contribute to maintenance of production-grade code in a Lean/Agile environment.
