Job summary

ExxonMobil in Malaysia is seeking a Reservoir Engineer to monitor reservoir and well performance, analyze data, and help optimize production. You will work with cross-functional teams to implement data acquisition plans and present findings to stakeholders.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Petroleum Engineering and 3–10 years of experience with strong analytical and communication skills. Knowledge of reservoir surveillance tools such as KAPPA, IPM, and OFM is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of experience in reservoir engineering and production optimization.

• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze reservoir and well performance using industry-standard surveillance tools and techniques.
• Conduct material balance, decline curve analysis, and production forecasting.
• Design and implement data acquisition plans (e.g., pressure surveys, PLTs, well tests).
• Identify opportunities for production optimization and recommend interventions.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure alignment on reservoir management strategies.
• Prepare and present reservoir performance reports and opportunity proposals to stakeholders.
• Support reserves estimation and annual business planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and business skills and expertise to solve complex problems.
