Job summary

KOM Technologies (M) Sdn Bhd in Johor Bahru is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a precast focus to manage quantities, costs and tender submissions for precast projects. You will review drawings and contract documents to ensure accurate quantities and compliance with project requirements, while monitoring budgets and costs across the project team.

The role requires 2–5 years in quantity surveying, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and proficiency in Excel to prepare claims,

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably precast concrete or construction.
• Able to read and interpret engineering, structural, and precast shop drawings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong analytical, numerical, communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates, Bills of Quantities and tender submissions for precast concrete projects.
• Review drawings, specifications and contract documents to verify quantities and project requirements.
• Monitor project costs, material usage, subcontractor costs, and overall budget.
• Prepare and verify progress claims, payment applications, variation orders and final accounts.
• Coordinate with Project, Production, Engineering, Procurement, Finance and Site teams on quantities and costs.
