Job summary

A construction company in Negeri Sembilan is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee project execution and deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or higher in Civil Engineering and 3-5 years of relevant experience, particularly in residential housing and infrastructure. You will be responsible for site supervision, project documentation, and coordination with various stakeholders. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are necessary for this role.

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.

Senior Quantity Surveyor (Landed Property)
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time according to scope and within budget.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive project documentation.
  • Daily supervision of work progress at the site in accordance with the schedule and implement day-to-day activities.
  • Ensure work quality is achieved and safety regulation complies.
  • Attend all project site meetings as well as technical meetings with clients.
  • Arrange regular meetings/discussions with a relevant party (eg: workers/contractor/client/vendors) to ensure the progress of work meets the targeted timeline.
  • Collaborate with relevant parties (eg: workers/contractor/client/vendors) to ensure all works are executed as agreed.
  • Assist superior in planning and arrangement of the projects.
  • Reporting to superior especially any discrepancies/potential delays in work.
  • Preparation site diary, fortnight report and progress report.
  • Brief sub-contractors on construction drawing, project schedule and timeline provided by management, construction method, product installation and safety requirements and precaution prior to the project execution and commencement.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders for seamless project execution.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve onsite challenges.
  • Ensure civil & structural works are completed on time, within budget and conform to good quality standard, construction drawings and contract documents.
Qualifications Requirement
  • Diploma or higher in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in construction supervision, preferably in Residential Housing and Infrastructure.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, AUTO-CAD, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to work under pressure and within tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Able to multitask and learn in a fast-paced environment.
