Job summary

PrimaBaguz, part of Johnsonville, is a Malaysian halal meat manufacturer in Selangor, seeking a Senior Quality Control Executive to supervise the QC team and ensure that processes and finished products meet specifications and are safe for consumption.

You will drive sanitation programs, HACCP, SOPs and OPRP, monitor QC testing, prepare monthly reports for key customers, and back up the QC Assistant Manager. Working hours are Mon–Fri, located at 43650 Bandar Baru Bangi.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Nutrition or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in the food industry.
• Able to work independently and be computer literate (Word/Excel).
• Familiar with Quality Management Systems and HACCP.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Sanitation Program in the plant with records and services.
• Ensure SOP, HACCP, OPRP and Food Safety Plan compliance.
• Monitor and supervise the QC team performing all QC testing.
• Oversee production/process improvements to reduce variation.
• Assist in customer complaints and root-cause analyses.
• Provide monthly KPI / QMP / product cutting reports.
• Assist Culinology team with product specifications and process flow.
• Conduct monthly facility inspections and issue reports.
• Participate in internal/external product cutting and sample collection.
• Track NC records and coordinate NCR meetings.
• Create and manage finished product labels using Bartender.
• Provide on-the-job training to new recruits and interns.
• Back up QC Assistant in daily operations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

This position is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily routine work for the QC team to ensure the process and final product confirms to specification and are safe for consumption. To assist HOD in the implementation and compliance of local and international regulatory and audit standards and investigate the root cause and provide detailed reports for internal non-conformance as well as customer complaints.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for implementation of the Sanitation Program in the plant including records and services.
• Ensure compliance with company Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), HACCP, Operational Prerequisite Programs (OPRP) and Food Safety Plan.
• Monitor and supervise the QC team which performs all QC testing parameters.
• Monitor food production/process and other services improvement which shall continuously focus to control and reducing variation in product characteristics and manufacturing process.
• Assist QC Assistant Manager in customer complaints and investigate the internal NC to find the root cause related to any product safety and quality issue.
• Provide monthly KPI / QMP/Internal Product Cutting reports requested by key customers.
• Assist the Culinology team to establish product specifications and process flow chart for new product development.
• Conduct monthly facility inspection at OP3 section including report issuance.
• Participate in internal/external customer product cutting including sample collections.
• Provide tracking for NC records and arrange internal NCR meetings.
• Create and manage labels for finished products using the Bartender system. Ensure label compliance with current/updated labelling regulations.
• Provide and supervise on-the-job training to new recruitment and internship student.
• Back up QC Assistant in daily operation if necessary.
• To perform any other assigned duties from time to time.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Microbiology/Food Science/Nutrition/Dietitian or equivalents.

Experience

• Able to work independently and Computer literate (Word and Excel are compulsory).
• Familiar with Quality Management Systems and HACCP will be added advantage with experience in the food industry not less than 1 year.
