UNITED BC TEAM SDN BHD is seeking a Senior Quality Control & Compliance Engineer to develop and maintain quality assurance and compliance systems, ensuring products and processes meet customer requirements and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
You will work with Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing, and Business Development to drive quality improvements, manage audits, and ensure regulatory compliance across projects.
The Quality & Compliance Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance and compliance systems to ensure products, projects, and processes meet customer requirements and industry standards. This role works closely with Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing, and Business Development teams to drive quality improvement initiatives, manage audits, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
Develop and implement inspection methods, quality control processes, and quality assurance procedures to ensure product reliability, quality, and performance.
Perform parts inspection, machine buy-off inspections, and quality verification activities throughout project execution.
Provide training and guidance to QC personnel to ensure quality standards and inspection procedures are consistently followed.
Manage calibration schedules and records for inspection and measurement equipment, ensuring compliance with quality requirements.
Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure quality expectations and customer requirements are met throughout project delivery.
Prepare quality reports, inspection records, CAPA reports, 8D reports, technical reports, and other quality-related documentation.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for quality issues and non-conformities.
Lead and conduct internal quality audits in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements and support external certification audits.
Monitor quality performance indicators and recommend continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product and process quality.
Maintain proper quality records, compliance documentation, and audit findings for traceability and regulatory compliance.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
Minimum 5 years and above of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Compliance, or related engineering functions.
Basic understanding of industrial automation systems, machinery, or manufacturing processes.
Experience in Parts QC Inspection and Machine QC Buy-Off.
Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System requirements.
Experience conducting Internal and External Quality Audits.
Familiarity with CAPA, 8D Methodology, Root Cause Analysis, and Technical Report preparation.
Knowledge of inspection and measurement equipment such as Multimeters, Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, and related tools.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues, non-conformities, and compliance gaps.
