Job summary

SD Guthrie International is seeking a Quality Assurance Lead for the laboratory and QC function in Malaysia. The role involves ensuring products meet PGR specs and regulatory standards, reviewing COA and lab results, and guiding CAPA for quality issues.

You will supervise QC activities, maintain instruments, and provide cross-department technical support. Ideal candidates have a chemistry or chemical engineering background with 3–5 years in lab/QC/R&D, plus familiarity with ISO 9001, HACCP, FSSC

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in laboratory, QC, or R&D.
• Solid understanding of COA preparation, review, and approval processes
• Knowledge of ISO/GMP/GLP standards
• Familiarity with quality documentation systems and LIMS
• Leadership and team management, high attention to detail and accuracy

Responsibilities

• Ensure all incoming, in-process, and finished products meet SDGI PGR specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Review and approve laboratory results, COA, and product release before dispatch.
• Supervise daily QC laboratory activities and ensure all testing follows SOP, GMP, and safety requirements.
• Investigate product quality issues, OOS results, and lab non-conformances, and ensure proper CAPA.
• Monitor quality trends and prepare daily & monthly QC reports for management.
• Provide technical support and advice to Production and other departments on quality issues.
• Ensure lab instruments are maintained, calibrated, and in good working condition.
• Coordinate with Sales, ICA, and PID on customer sample preparation and technical support.
• Create material codes for new products and advise ICA/PID on specifications and material tail codes.
• Act as Food Safety Leader and Halal Executive II; verify CCPs/HCPs.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, HACCP, FSSC 22000, Halal, RSPO, MSPO, SEDEX, ISCC and other requirements.
• Complete customer questionnaires and technical documents related to QC.

Job Requirement
