Job summary

ResMed Inc in Senai, Johor Bahru seeks a Senior QC Assistant to design, implement and monitor quality control programs across manufacturing. The role requires night shifts from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM and close collaboration with cross-functional teams.

You will perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections, maintain records, and support non-conformance investigations to uphold ISO 13485, ISO 9001, GMP standards. Training junior QC staff is also part of the role.

Qualifications

• SPM/Certificate/Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, Science, or Quality Management.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of inspection techniques and quality tools.
• Ability to interpret specifications and work instructions.
• Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
• Experience with ISO 13485, ISO 9001, GMP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure products meet established specifications and quality requirements.
• Conduct sampling, testing, and verification activities on raw materials, components, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
• Review inspection results, identify quality issues, and elevate non-conformances when required.
• Support the disposition and containment of non-conforming materials and products in accordance with established procedures.
• Apply approval, rejection, and status identification labels accurately and ensure material traceability is maintained.
• Assist in investigating product and process quality issues and support root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, test reports, and quality documentation in compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
• Support internal audits, external audits, validation activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in the development, review, and updating of quality procedures, work instructions, and inspection methods.
• Provide guidance and on-the-job training to junior QC personnel when required.
• Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Warehouse, and other cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements at all times.

Let's Talk About Qualifications and Experience Required

SPM, Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Science, Quality Management, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or Manufacturing Quality within a manufacturing environment. Experience performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections. Basic understanding of quality tools, inspection techniques, and statistical sampling methods. Ability to interpret specifications, inspection criteria, and work instructions. Good documentation and record-keeping skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word. Preferred Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment such as Medical Devices, Electronics, Pharmaceutical, or Automotive industries. Familiarity with ISO 13485, ISO 9001, GMP, or other relevant quality management systems. Experience handling non-conforming material processes and corrective action activities. Working knowledge of inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and testing instruments. Ability to troubleshoot quality issues with minimal supervision. Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
