Job summary

EPAM Systems seeks a Senior Python Engineer for a production support/managed services role within a long-term engineering transformation program covering Australia and New Zealand. You will develop, enhance and maintain Python-based applications and Airflow workflows, orchestrating pipelines to boost reliability and visibility.

Qualifications

• Python proficiency with hands-on delivery of production-grade services or pipelines.
• Strong independent coding capability; able to write, evaluate and troubleshoot code without reliance on AI.
• Hands-on Apache Airflow experience including development, orchestration and production support.
• Managed services or production support exposure including incident response and service improvement.
• Clear communication for working with stakeholders and distributed teams.
• Adaptability to context switch across applications and competing operational priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain Python-based applications and workflows, including solutions using Apache Airflow.
• Orchestrate and monitor pipelines using Apache Airflow to improve reliability and visibility.
• Investigate issues, restore service during incidents and complete root-cause follow-ups.
• Deliver KTLO support, maintenance and continuous improvements across multiple applications.
• Collaborate with product and engineering stakeholders to clarify priorities and dependencies.
• Apply problem-solving to assess change impacts, risks and operational tradeoffs.
• Contribute to modern agile delivery within balanced cross-functional teams.
• Participate in on-call support coverage as needed to meet operational requirements.
