Job summary

SME Careers is seeking a Senior Python Engineer for a fully remote, hourly contractor role. You will review AI-generated Python solutions, generate high-quality reference content, and rate AI responses for reasoning quality and implementation soundness.

You will assess correctness, performance, and adherence to prompts; provide clear explanations and exemplary solutions, and mentor on best practices. Strong English and Chinese skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong Python on production systems.
• Deep knowledge of Python language features, libraries, and ecosystems.
• Strong algorithms, data structures, and system design fundamentals in Python.
• Experience designing and reviewing high-quality Python codebases; mentoring is a plus.
• Proficient in English (C1) and Chinese (C1) in writing and speaking.
• Experience with version control, CI/CD, testing frameworks, and containerization.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI training content with prompts and responses across topics.
• Evaluate and rank AI responses to improve accuracy and relevance.
• Ensure model integrity by testing for biases and errors across use cases.
