StarHub is seeking a Senior Matrixx QA Engineer to own end-to-end QA across cloud-native platforms. You will collaborate with developers, DevOps, product owners and operations to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable applications.
The role emphasizes API and integration testing, defect management, and continuous improvement of testing practices. The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 3 years of QA experience, with strong automation and CI/CD exposure.
The Senior Matrixx QA Engineer will be involved in the end-to-end quality assurance lifecycle, including requirements analysis, test planning, test design, test execution, defect management, production validation, and continuous improvement of testing practices for cloud-native platforms. The candidate will work closely with developers, DevOps engineers, business analysts, product owners, and operations teams to ensure that applications are reliable, secure, scalable, and fit for business use. The role requires strong analytical ability, good writing skills, and excellent comprehension skills to understand technical specifications, business requirements, API documents, logs, and production issues.
Key responsibilities
Design, prepare, and execute functional, regression, integration, API, system, and end-to-end test cases
Review business requirements, technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria to identify test scenarios and coverage gaps
Validate microservices, RESTful APIs, batch jobs, messaging flows, and system integrations
Perform defect analysis, raise clear and detailed bug reports, and work with delivery teams through resolution and retesting
Support release validation, production verification, and post-deployment quality checks
Develop and maintain automated test scripts for API, regression, and integration testing
Support automated testing within CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins
Test services deployed on OpenShift/Kubernetes environments
Work closely with development, DevOps, operations, and business teams to ensure quality throughout the delivery lifecycle
Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test evidence, defect reports, release validation summaries, and QA sign-off documents
About you
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in QA, software testing, or quality engineering
Strong experience in functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, API testing, and defect management
Experience testing Java, Spring Boot, microservices, RESTful APIs, and enterprise integration flows
Experience with test automation tools and API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, or similar
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and version control tools such as Git
Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift environments
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including the ability to validate data and investigate defects through queries
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and defect investigation skills
Excellent writing, comprehension, communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
