Job summary

AmBank Group is seeking a Senior Project Manager to drive the delivery of large and extra-large banking projects from planning through go-live. You will manage budgets, risks, vendors, and stakeholder expectations while leading cross-functional teams to ensure scope, schedule, and quality are met.

The role requires a PMP or equivalent certification, a minimum of 10 years in project management, and experience with complex bank projects.

Qualifications

PMP or equivalent certification is mandatory.
A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Business Management, or related discipline is required.
Minimum 10 years of project management experience across the full lifecycle.
Experience delivering medium-to-complex system implementations, preferably in banking or financial institutions.

Responsibilities

Establish project budgets, complete PEMs, and monitor project costs.
Track vendor payments and ensure deliverables are verified before payment.
Ensure projects meet financial KPIs, with budgets RM10 million and above.
Engage with business stakeholders to identify requirements and align solutions.
Maintain 360° communication with stakeholders to align deliverables across units.
Lead project teams and coordinate across business, IT, vendors, and support functions.
Provide coaching and support to junior staff and analysts.
Governance, risk, and quality management across the project lifecycle.
Prepare for go-live, training, data migration, and post-implementation reviews.
Capture lessons learned and ensure benefits realization.
